Do I have to download anything?

Nope! Test Day Prep is a Web Based Application. That means you can access and edit everything just by signing in to your Test Day Prep Account on this website, TestDayPrep.com!

Is it difficult to get my students started?

Getting started is simple. Students will be able to access any test with a unique 6 character code associated with your specific test. Once they check in, they can begin the test and you will be able to see the results when they have finished!

If you are handing out a test link digitally, you can also simply share a link to the student landing page at tdp.codes (for example, tdp.codes/UHP3IA).

What grade levels is Test Day Prep designed for?

In most states, students in grades 7-12 take computer-based writing exams that ask them to read a prompt (usually informative, expository, or argumentative) and respond to it in an organized, coherent manner, usually in a single text field. The same is true for the ACT college entrance exam as well as exams for many professional fields. For this reason, Test Day Prep is ideal for test-takers from 7th grade all the way up to professional certification programs.

Note: this doesn’t mean Test Day Prep cannot be adapted for lower grades; in fact, teaching students to respond in written text form is a key 21st-century skill that will prepare them for future assessments, assignments, and career fields. A simple format means endless possibilities for diverse student groups.

How do I view student responses?

All student responses are viewable and accessible in the teacher dashboard in real-time as students write their response. You can take these responses and make edits in your application of choice or print student responses to grade manually.

Or (to save on grading time) send the essay back to the student for them to evaluate and revise.

Are student responses auto-saved? What if the school’s Wi-Fi goes out?

Yes, all student responses are auto-saved and connected to their account. If they get disconnected, all they have to do is re-enter the test character code and they can pick up where they left off.

Is there auto-grade feature in the application?

No. Auto-grade features are designed with only one criteria and one function in mind. What distinguishes Test Day Prep from other applications is its flexibility and versatility, meaning it can be used in hundreds of different ways according to the needs of the user.

Can I purchase an upgraded account for others in my group?

Absolutely! Just go to the Group Pricing page and select how many Codes you would like to purchase for account upgrades. Group codes are 20% off from the original upgrade price, and are eligible for 2 or more users.

Are passage sets available, or do I need to enter/create my own?

For an additional cost, we have partnered with Liberation Education to offer their passage sets to be used within the app. Click here to learn more!

Teachers can also copy and paste their prompts/passage sets or create their own.

I understand the concept, but I need to see it. Are there any walk-through tutorial videos to help me visualize what my students will experience?

The free tier comes with 1 test you can edit and update as you need, but comes with all the features of the upgraded account!
